Welcome! I’m Sarah Escobar, a dedicated Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) in New Mexico, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and Colorado, Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) in Utah, and a Registered Telehealth Provider in South Carolina. With over 8 years of experience in clinical mental health counseling across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, PHP, IOP, EAP, and recovery/rehabilitation, I am passionate about guiding individuals toward a healthier, happier life.
My Journey
Before becoming a licensed therapist, I spent 8 years serving my local communities, working with marginalized populations such as unhoused persons, individuals struggling with substance and alcohol use, those facing poverty, women, and other minority groups. My role involved administering and distributing funds from non-profit programs to enhance my clients' overall quality of life and promote wellness.
In addition to my counseling experience, I have 4 years of experience in Mid-level and Executive/Senior Leadership roles within both profit and non-profit organizations, beginning at the age of 22. This diverse background has equipped me with a unique perspective and a wealth of knowledge to address various personal, business, and societal challenges.
My Approach
I believe that difficult experiences in life can evoke feelings of anxiety, depression, or a lack of direction. With compassion and honesty, I aim to help you navigate these challenges, identify your inner strengths, and become a happier and healthier version of yourself. Whether as a Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor or an Executive Business Coach, I am committed to supporting you in achieving the life you’ve always wanted.

I look forward to embarking on this journey with you. Together, we can work towards bettering ourselves and, in turn, improving our communities. When we do better, we all do better together.

Destiny Olvera, LMHC
Welcome! My name is Destiny Olvera. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from New Mexico State University and my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at El Paso. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New Mexico.
Therapy is a journey, and I know it takes courage to take that first step. My goal is to create a space where clients feel supported, heard, and valued. I take an integrative approach, combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Adlerian principles, but ultimately, I tailor each session to what feels most helpful and comfortable for my clients. Therapy can bring a mix of emotions—laughter, reflection, and sometimes tears while hopefully reaching individual goals one step at a time. I strive to have my client’s feel validated, supported and valued in a safe space.
I have clinical experience working with clients with anxious behaviors: Anxious & Avoidant Relationship Attachments, Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Borderline Personality, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorders. I additionally have training in Sand Tray Therapy and Art Interventions to help clients explore emotion and self awareness.
Before becoming a therapist, I was a preschool and kindergarten teacher for five years, which is now a passion of mine to help children outside of a classroom. I have training and experience in Play Therapy and am working toward official certification with a specialty on Person-Centered Child Play Therapy. This type of therapy is especially helpful for children (ages 3–10) in developing self-regulation, self-esteem, and understanding their emotions in a play setting.
